Q/Q: three stages in every great work of God

A quote and a question is a simple approach to thinking more deeply about the thoughts, ideas, and advice from authors, historical figures, and leaders.

Quote: “I have found that there are three stages in every great work of God; first, it is impossible, then it is difficult, then it is done.” – Hudson Taylor

Question: Hudson highlights God’s sovereignty, the necessity of faith, perseverance, and the assurance of His power to fulfill His purpose.  Human limitations often amplify God’s power.  Think Abraham and Sarah (Genesis 18:11-14).  Taylor is directing us to humbly depend on God when facing what seems impossible, knowing that difficulty is a natural part of spiritual growth and kingdom work. It is where faith meets action (James 2:17).  His words reflect the reality that when we remain faithful, God will fulfill His purposes in His timing.  At which point of these three stages is your faith stalling?
