Rethinking Coaching: How the Right Voice Helps You Finish Well

I’ve never really been into having a coach.  Maybe it’s because of the (sports) coaches I’ve had in the past.  I’ve had some real doozies.

This isn’t a blanket statement about coaches.  Good coaches and coaching do exist.

However, in the last few years, with my wife becoming a Christian life coach, and my having spent time with a life coach–and really, we need each other to speak into one another’s lives–my perspective has changed.

Now, I would recommend (the right) coaching to everyone.  We all need someone to provide an objective, biblical perspective and a line of questioning that we can’t easily duck.  It is in our best interest to dig deep and face the truth.

I was recently reading about (not just financial) retirement coaches.  What an interesting idea.  Someone who can come alongside you and help you finish well.

Maybe you’re ready to be on either side of that equation?

Thanks for joining me on the journey!
